Insight Training offers an 8-hour day of live fire TIC training that shall cover the introduction to tactical thermal imaging and spend intensive training on the application of tactical thermal imaging.
This course includes demonstrations and active classroom participation that is customized to the host organization specific brands and models of thermal imaging cameras.
This course covers the following objectives:
Fundamentals of Heat Transfer
How heat moves through a compartment
Effects fireground tactics, ventilation, attack, door control, have on heat transfer through a compartment.
Explanation of two main types of thermal imaging cameras.
Thermal Imaging TIPS for Success.
Contraindications & Limitations: Brief Overview of Fireground Applications.
Access to a shared drive which holds the presentation and additional resources.
